Hermes: Men on the Move

The Challenge

Hermes tasked Ate to create a unique F&B experience for their first menswear event in Singapore, which was held at the historic Old Kallang Airport. The F&B concepts had to be customised according to the different areas of the venue, from the main airport terminal to the hangar building. The venue was not equipped with electricity or water supply.

The Solution

  • Ate worked with the team from Hermes to conceive 6 different food and beverage concepts, each inspired by activities happening in the various event spaces within the airport.

Ate then sourced for the appropriate chefs, caterers and beverage providers, working with them to create the menu and refining it for the event day. In addition, Ate provided full F&B logistics support, building the necessary back of house spaces for the suppliers to serve from.

The Results

  • More than 1,000 guests turned up for the event and the client received rave reviews on all food items and cocktails served.
  • Guests wandered through the main terminal building, savouring a variety of items such as scallop ceviche, Iberico jamon, Wagyu beef, and foie gras squid ink waffles. They sampled tea cocktails and bottled punch before moving to the hangar for a dessert buffet and nightcaps from an artisanal cocktail bar.
